Very nice! Where did you buy your parts? What kind of parts did you use?

From reading on other Honda forums, guys are running TSX pads as the mount tabs set them closer to the hub. Anyone try this out yet?

I picked up the parts for this conversion back in November and just got around to do it since the pads needed to be replaced. I ran into issues with the rotor and was wondering if it was due to purchasing the DOHC 280mm version (CENTRIC 12134100). I can't get it to snap onto the hub, just falls off when I pulled the wheel back off. I also learned the hard way that the oem wheels will not clear the caliper. Someone mentioned doing this swap on a completely stock Sport model so I assumed they cleared.

Are you doing this on a base? The sport has 16" wheels vs. base 15"....

That other install was on a DB8 chassis with different spindles than we have. Not sure if that makes a difference in where the caliper ends up sitting on the rotor or not.

I'm also curious since I've started accumulating parts. Haven't bought the front pads yet so there's still time for me to change that part if needed.

I just bought all the parts and will be installing next week. The TSX pads fit perfectly in the ITR caliper.

Just hope that everything clears the stock sport rim, I run them for my winters, My summers should clear without issue.

Anyone looking to do this both ITR calipers are less than$100 from Rockauto and come powdercoated red. I went with Duralast pads and rotors, I'm into this for less than $300CAD. The sad part is that's about what just the pads and rotors would cost here.

So just a observation,, the Fit-Ev has 5 lug wheels, and the brakes are set up to stop a car that weighs 700 lbs more than the standard fit, the rear drums look bigger too.. Wonder if thats a possibility ??

Mod done and have done 500KM on it. The TSX pads fit but you need to remove the antirattle spring that sits on top of the pads (clips to the caliper). It will rub the rotor.

The 16in Sport rims do clear, but by a cunt hair. I'm not sure if a spacer will be required or not as the 16s are my winter wheels.

The performance is noticeable and will cause my 205s to lock under hard breaking.

Yup ABS still functions as normal, and in normal driving conditions the car is well behaved, you don'y have to hit the brakes as hard to slow though.

FWIW my OEM brakes still looked new at 110K KM when i removed them. My car sees mostly highway use, but I drive it like a pissed off teenager on the streets.

LOL, sounds like you now need stickier tires. I'm glad everyone is having so much success with this BBK.

Got any photos? Would love to do this but that means I'd need 16 inch winter wheels too.

I'm actually going to hit up my local wrecker for a steelie and see if it will clear the caliper. I'm due for new snow tires and have discovered that it costs almost half to drop to a 15in rim instead of running the 185/55/16.

Unless someone can confirm this for me

Yes, I'm running the Type R calipers, Mini rotors, and TSX pads on my GD.

Stock and many aftermarket wheels don't fit, but the calipers and rotors are a bolt on.
