Cheers

Depends what you are trying to achieve? Daily or trackday setup?

If its a Daily you need to consider weather/temperature. For example, running Hawk DTC60 pads while it's snowing is dangerous.

Performance pads cause a lot more dust. So you will be scrubing/cleaning wheels more often.

I tracked my Fit which is why I did this mod. Never had brake fade, but the car is pretty light. In the Spec B series I think all they are a loud to change is the pads only. So bigger calipers are just insurance.

My point is if your looking for more braking power (daily or track) the pads will make a huge difference.

Anyone know if the UK hubs are different to the US ones?
I was going to do this upgrade with EK9 calipers, 280mm Non-S mini cooper Discs, extended lugs etc.
But now been told that the hubs are different, meaning the calipers fowl.
I've been told the Accord CL9 calipers (for 300mm) will work with the 280mm discs, as they dont fowl

I'm not sure regarding the different hubs, but I don't recall anyone using either of those calipers. The calipers I used are listed as being compatible with the following vehicles:

ACURA CL 1997-1999
ACURA INTEGRA 1997-2001
ACURA TL 1995-1998
ACURA VIGOR 1992-1994
HONDA ACCORD 1991-1997
HONDA CR-V 1997-2001
HONDA ODYSSEY 1995-1998
HONDA PRELUDE 1997-2001
ISUZU OASIS 1996-1998

I paired those with pads from the CL9.

For seeing if those would work, I'd compare the nuckle from your car vs. a US vehicle. I believe that's the part that matters because it dictates where the caliper is mounted.

Thanks for the info.
Are the ACURA INTEGRA 97-2001 calipers not the same as EK9 Civic?

I don't believe so. The Honda part # for the right side Integra caliper is 45018-SM5-000. The part # I see for an EK9 Civic is 45018-S04-V01. But, I'm not positive. I'm just using parts-honda/uk to look up part numbers. We didn't get the EK9 in the US.

Ok no worries, thanks for checking.
I dont see why the hub/knuckles would be different between the UK and US jazz/fit. But i've ordered a few parts to see if i make them fit.

I don't either, but I see different nuckle part numbers between them. But, I also see different part numbers between a 2004 1.3 Jazz and a 2007 1.5 Jazz. So, there are some different nuckles between models/years. Maybe to support different rotor sizes?

My Jazz is a 2003 GD1 1.4 DSi. Was hoping that the EK9 brakes with mini 280 discs would be a bolt on solution like it is with the EK4.

I've just been doing some research, and it seems the UK jazz came with different sizes front discs depending on the YOM.
The 2002/2003 came with 240mm fronts, where the later models came with 258mm front.

Mine is the 2002/2003.

Hey, I know this thread is ancient, but did you notice a significant change in clearance between the inner wheel face and the calliper vs stock? I mean in the lateral direction. My stock brakes are already tight with my wheels, so im wonder if/how much of a spacer I'd need.

Thanks! Hope you still get these messages lol
