swap k24
Hi everyone, i've been thinking of swaping the Fit GE8 with a k24 but i don't find anyone who have done it except with some GD3.i've been looking everywhere and don't find nothing (or maybe i'm blind). Does anyone have something for me where i could find all the info about that swap?
Thanks

I would contact Hasport to see if they have plans to make mounts for such a swap. Many of the same mods would be needed as the GD's would be my guess as you would still have the same basic space/other challenges. ECU harness would also be a question as i believe most of the Gd's ran some sort of piggyback system.

That's because nobody's done it on a USDM GE yet. AFAIK there's no pre-made mounts or anything and all the K20 into GE builds have been overseas and very expensive to complete.
There's a few guys on here that have motors and stuff but I haven't seen the completed projects yet. There were requests for Hasport to make mounts that were denied a few years ago because the mounts they made for GDs didn't sell well. Maybe things will change soon.

you use K mounts made for CRZ
there should be seperate for K20 or K24, to make up difference in height of motor
Might need to switch up some parts with CRV k24 stuff.
google that $h!t!!
EDIT YES there has been a few USDM GE8 K swaps.

Any info online w/ links? Everything I see is overseas.
Yes CRZ mounts is a good idea I forgot about that thread, I never saw anything come of it. I know headers were a problem and had to be custom because nothing was available and a bunch of other do-dad issues.

no header problems
they make CRZ K swap headers
I seriously DOUBT that they bolt up to factory catback in either car. the CRZ downpipe is different then ours, so even if it was a straight drop into a crz, custom exhaust is still required.
Not a bother at all if you can already afford the swap.
motor, tranny, harness, and ecu will run you between 1000 and 3500 bucks depending on your sources
salvage yards tend to offer straight prices for motors, some even down to block then head or heads.
example, salvageyard near me offers blocks for 125 plus 50 core and heads for 40 plus 10 core. walk up, pay 225, return at a later time with your old motor, get 60 bucks back
VERY RARE for my yard to see K series though. People snatch them up within hours of the cars put into the yard. a 2010 accord that was utterly destroyed in the rear was stripped of its front end in 3 hours, my buddy who works at yard called me as they were draining fluids, and I was still at work (and 15 miles away lol)

I found via a search
Eibach's K-swapped CR-Z - K20A.org .:. The K Series Source . Honda / Acura K20a k24a Engine Forum
HASport mounts used allowed their CRZ to use a stock 2006 civicSI header.
This tells me if you use the HASport mounts for a CRZ in your fit, exhaust is no problem!! think about it, they make some seriously cool and effective headers for the K motors these days!!
the guy said electrical was easy, modified 2006 SI harness, few wires to make use of the SI primary and secondary O2 sensors, and something about the C plug. car harness was modified slightly, and they also said the crz gauge cluster worked still!

You are not blind, despite your grammar mistakes. But it's rare because it's not practical, and it's not practical because the K is too big for the bay -- so in addition to the normal engine mounts/ECU+harness/tuning headaches there's the old-fashioned need to find a way for the engine to fit in a manner that lets it hook up to the driveshafts but doesn't put 70% of the weight in front of the front axle.
My two cents is .. and I hate to say this because I would love to see the swap .. if you want a K engine go buy a Civic. Financially this makes way more sense. Sigh.

I talked to a guy who did the swap in the United States he spend 12 grand all together hasport makes the mounts the crz ones will work hasport will make the harness if you give them a 2012 si harness and your gE8 harness they will combined them rad use the rywire universal rad civic swap k20 swap shifter rsx shifter cables not sure about axles though.
