Fit prices in the bay area
Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and currently shopping to buy a new Fit Sport A/T in vortex blue. I contacted a few of the dealers and the best price I got so far is $16,988 + TTL. Is this a good price? or if it can be lower does anyone know which dealer I should go to? I'm looking to purchase one most likely by this weekend. Thanks for the help.
Double check but I think that is a few hundred under msrp. You can always make them a low ball offer. I paid msrp for mine, but the honda dealerships here go through manual fits very fast so I'm actually pretty surprised I got it for that.
are you talking about san diego bay area, or SF Bay area?
If you are talking about SF bay area, i can suggest to check out anderson honda's internet quote. It should be pretty competitive. Please note that often the internet/fleet sales dept. is separate from the showroom sales group, and more straightforward with the price.

Thanks for the replies. The price I listed above is actually from Anderson Honda. This is my first time buying a new car, in your guys' experience which is more competitive between the internet sales and the showroom sales group.
My understanding was Anderson's internet department got paid on salary, not on commission based on the profit of each sale, so they aren't incentivized to do negotiations, just move cars. Yes, perhaps there is some super shopper who can find a couple hundred dollars left on the table, but time is valuable.
If you deal with Showroom Sales, I expect you're going to start with a higher opening price, then have to work your way down.
There is not a whole lot of margin on a Honda Fit anyway (as compared to a 60,000 car), so don't expect drastic differences in pricing.
Go to truecar.com, a quick review says the 16,988 is $100 lower than the 17,088 they are offering (maybe that is anderson honda anyway with $100 commission to truecar?)
