Sohc or dohc

Hi,

Quick noob question: i just got a new 2013 honda fit dx-a and I want to add the I-vtec decal. To make it technically accurate, should it say sohc or dohc?

Thanks!!

I actually ordered and put on the wrong one, "DOHC", and realized it afterwards. I probably won't change it though because I don't think most people would know the difference.

I have the SOHC on the sides of my car was in line at a drive-thru when the guy in the car behind me got out and ran up to my car. He says to me, "I did not realized the Fit was DOHC" I said "no" and pointed to the decal on the side of the car. He then went and got back in his car.

Ha! It makes me feel a little better that I'm not the only one. The bad thing is I actually looked up the specs on the engine in the Fit to make sure it was an i-VTEC engine before I ordered the decal, but didn't realize I needed to verify the DOHC/SOHC part too.

Again, same here. The only question left is why the hell didn't I ask here BEFORE I ordered AND INSTALLED the decals.

The only reason I knew what to get was because of another thread in the forum. Heck if it was not for that thread I would of probably not had gotten the decals in the first place.

I never understood the point of this decal. The people that know engines are not going to care because it means absolutely nothing on our car, and the rest won't even know what it means at all.

Correct, was never big into decals then started putting some on my Miata then when I got the Fit continue the trend. Kind of makes the car a little different in the looks department from other Fits.

Because Honda did it from the factory.

I think it's interesting/fun, kind of retro.

Its a reminder... like the tint strip across the front windshields with the manufacturer's name on it... the branded chrome license plate holder... the jacket with a big horse embroidered...
