Bought a new '13 Sport MT exactly a week today, ~350 miles, averaging 36+ mpg. (The stock mpg gauge and scangauge II are within less than 1 mpg)

Nobody seems to believe me, but the 2012 Accord SE I traded in averaged less than 25 mpg. SO glad I got the FIt, I really love it (and for more than the improved gas mileage, i.e. manual trans, and my dogs can ride nicely in the cargo) It's fun like my my Civic Coupe 5-speed I bought new in 2004.

ETA: Break-in driving keeping revs under 4500 RPM, but decelerating in lower gear, mixed with driving like an old lady.

 

That's awesome. You'll probably get a mile or two per gallon more once it breaks in. Glad you're enjoying it!
