Cannot unlock doors using power window switch

I have this problem lately. I have asked the service center and they said I need to replace my power window switch which cost me about MYR500. Then someone asked me to check the actuator. It might be failed because of the actuator which cost me less. So, anyone can guide me what are the things need to be inspected in order to find the problem?

In the US there is another recall in which the drivers side switch is being replaced. You may want to look into the US recall and see whether the part number is the same as your car. Although Honda may not be doing an international recall, it may be of some use to help negotiate to have yours replaced for free.

Currently there is no recall regarding power switch or door lock/unlock problem in Malaysia. It might be part failure in my case. Because, when I press the unlock button, nothing happen. the door won't unlock.

Does the power lock actuator work at other times when it should—with the switch on the other door, or when shifting into park (or turning the ignition off if it's a manual transmission), or when using remote entry, or when turning the key in the driver's door lock? On the US Fits, at least, these all can also lock or unlock the car; I don't know if Malaysian ones are equipped similarly or not.

Also, does the driver's door switch work for the other locks?

If the actuator unlocks the door for any of the other inputs, then it's working and the problem is almost certainly with the switch. If the switch doesn't work for any door, that would also suggest it's faulty. Other combinations of symptoms may be a bit less clear.

FYI this recall in the US applies to the GD not the GE body.

I am able to lock and unlock all doors using remote key. In fact, i am also able to lock all doors either the engine is on or off using the power window switch. The problem is I can't unlock all doors using the switch.

The actuators (the devices in the doors that actually lock and unlock them) seem to be fine if they work with the remote. It looks like they diagnosed the switch problem correctly.

Not the window switch, I suspect you meant the central locking switch. But yes, the switch on the driver's door.

Yes, checking a Honda parts site here in the states, all 6 switches including the lock/unlock are a single assembly. Sorry, I thought they might be separate.
