Interior door lock button no longer working

This morning, the interior driver's side door lock button on my 07 Fit stopped working completely. Essentially, pushing it does nothing. I can still lock and unlock the doors with the remote fob though.

Any idea what the problem might be and whether or not its any easy fix? I've read on this board about about a prior recall for an issue whereby water might get into the power window switch and short it out. Could that happen to the door lock as well? (we had a big storm last night and it was working fine yesterday). If so, would the dealer be required to fix this for free? I bought the car used just about two years ago and have not yet brought it in for any recalls.

Thanks

you would want to check the voltages on the switch. when you click up or down, you should have a change in voltage along in one of the wires. sorry i do not have a wiring schematic on hand. but just poke through and make sure atleast one of the wires is changing voltage when you press the button
