The OE Dunlop's on my 2011 look less than half worn out at 30k miles and are marked (Made in Japan).

A 2002 Mazda Protégé 5 I owned had made in Japan Dunlop's, They were replaced at around 40k miles because of cupping on the inside threads. Not worn out, but noisy.

Since our US Fits were manufactured in Japan, I'll bet we are getting Sumitomo / Dunlop, not Goodyear / Dunlop tires. I do not have any of these tires around any more, I scrapped them several years ago but it would be interesting to see if any of the OEM Fit tires say "Made in Japan" on them. I'll bet they do. This might also explain why aftermarket Dunlops in NA do not have nearly as bad of a reputation.
Interesting insight on the local manufacturers. Almost for sure then that the OEMs were all Dunlop Japan. I can't see the cars being shipped without tires then being fitted here in the US. Assembly plants are usually supplied locally just like other imports assembled here would be supplied with local tires.

ive had 2 blowouts. one in 1990 when i had to swirve off road to avoid this dumbarse driver from crashing into me, and one in 1991. was driving on the hwy and suddenly blew out. probably low psi was the cause. i just bought a new tire $60 and was on my way.
