HID Xenon + 09-10 Honda Fit Halo LED Strip Projector Headlights - Black

i think this will get rid off DRL problem....but how does it work on high beam? our fit only has 1 wire to hi/low beam...right??

Its not one wire, but three wires... 1 high, 1 low, and one ground. It's just all to one bulb, type H4/HB2/9003 (roughly all different names for similar specifications).

The headlight should include a harness that splits the H4 to either dual H1, dual H3, or H1+H3 plugs (those are the usual smaller bulbs used most dual bulb setups).

Since high beam is usually left as an H1 (or H3) halogen bulb, it handles DRL just like stock H4 ("partial" power to high beam circuit).

Id have to wonder if having the "stock" DRL running on those headlights would be redundant/overkill with all those leds running as well.

that depends on what you do with the LEDs... no one said you have to wire them up to be ON all the time.

You could wire them up to be ON only with the corner lights... or with the turn signal, you could even do switchbacks. Heck, you could convert them to sequential signals if you really want.

I suppose you could wire them with the marker lights, the other options would be a little extreme IMO since the LEDs don't come in amber(plus signaling with a halo ring would look a little strange). But anyway, there's a reason oem led DRLs dim when headlights are on, to avoid blinding traffic at night. If you simply wired these up to the markers, you end up having the LEDs on full with the headlights. Remember the LEDs aren't aimed to the ground like the low beams, they just distribute light to be as visible as possible from onlookers. Wouldn't really be the smartest thing to do in my opinion.

I suppose you could get an auto dimming module to make it less bright at night , but that seems like a lot of work. Presumably the reason someone would get those headlights would be to show off the LED design anyway, so using them as DRLs would be the most logical way to use them.
