so this happened...

Central NC got a bit of ice last Friday, downing trees and power lines. This two-trunked beech tree fell over and around my car Friday afternoon. As crazy as it sounds, my Fit escaped with nothing more than a few light scuffs on the rear bumper and a knocked out of place rear wiper. My wife's Ford Escape was also spared from any damage.

Wow, at first I thought you had slid over into the bushes or something, you are so lucky the tree mostly missed your car!

DUDE! that's nuts your lucky for sure few more feet it looks and it would have been a fit flap jack.
We had a nasty ice storm in NH back in 09 after I bought my fit went a week without power and several of my neighbors roofs sprouted tree limbs. Ice storms can be real fun huh...
