Changed AT fluid and filter yesterday. I only have 30K on the Fit and decided to leave the solenoids alone for now, especially when the wife asked if I had time for a beer. On my Ody (the one with the self-destructing transmission), cleaning the clutch lining fragments out of the solenoid screens is something you need to do every other year or so.
As demouser implies, you don't need to disconnect any hoses to do a reasonably good ATF change out. There's a drain plug but after draining, much old ATF remains inside the transmission body and torque converter.
I bought a bunch of Honda DW-1 ATF, drained / refilled, took on 15 - 20 min drive, drain / refill, and so on until the last drain looked / smelled reasonably new.
DIY with a few extra quarts / liters of DW-1 ATF is cheaper than taking it to the dealer to have it done.
At the end, make sure you have a new drain plug washer on hand for a "clean" finish.

That's great. The Homeopathic method. I didn't know you could do that. So you now still have a good portion of your old tranny fluid in your car......Peachy......You couldn't by any chance answer my question could you?.......Cause that's all I wanted.........z

OH........and what I'm doing is developing a faster than light space drive.......I'm almost done and have tested it......I've taken my Fit to Jupiter already, but need to add a special ingredient to the trans fluid so I can visit Alpha Centauri next week............I'll be sure to post pics...............z
Anybody that sells Honda parts online has the diagrams. This is from hondaautomotiveparts.com. It's not very clear though. I believe the fluid goes from the tranny, through the filter and then to the radiator. Maybe others can confirm this.

Someone once posted an interesting method to change ALL the fluid. See post #18. Haven't tried it though, maybe next time I do mine.
Just a note that when doing a simple ATF drain and fill on the GE, Honda's factory recommendation of 2.6 QT is inadequate. I've done two drain and fills, both with the car jacked up on the driver's side (in North America) and with filter change about 3.4 to 3.5 QT is needed. Without filter change about 3.1 to 3.2 QT is needed. I always leave it to drain for two or three hours and even then, droplets continue. So, I think that giving it ample time to drain and perhaps the angle of the car when jacked up may increase the quantity too.
My Fit was bought used at 56,000 Miles and had never had the fluid changed. It looked brown and dirty when first drained and the magnetic drain plug was thick with black goo. I changed the filter. There was no burned smell.
I did a second drain and fill 7,000 Miles later to assure a greater percentage of cleaner fluid and was pleased to find good looking fluid in the drain pan and only minor deposits on the drain plug. I did not change the filter this time.
I used Honda DW-1 ATF Fluid both times. In my book, this is not the fluid to replace with a secondary does-the-same-thing-for-less brand.
Be sure to check the fluid level as per the Owner's Manual with the engine hot as prescribed.

FWIW, you can buy DW1 fluid from rockauto.com for $4.49/qt. Its not Honda labelled, but has an Aisin label. Since those are the guys who designed/produced the transmission, you're probably safe to use it.....
You probably drained more fluid because of the angle you had the car at. Just fill the amount that you drained. The filter is probably good for 150000km. Just changed my filter and glad i only have to do it ever 5 years or more.
Im probably one of the more anal ones here, but i always do 4x drain and fill every 50000km. Basically to make sure i have around 95% brand new fluid in the gearbox when im done.
