My jazz has NO BATTERY POWER!!

First of all im posting from Australia.

Well I've purchased a write-off 2009 Honda Jazz, has been hit in the right hand front but everything is still intact as in the engine bay. It didn't come with a battery so I bought a new one and put it in... Normally when you have one wire on the battery and when you put the other wire on the battery it usually sparks alittle.. yes? I noticed that it DIDN'T which was strange. I checked the ground was bolted to chassis.

Anyway, put the key in and NOTHING, no reds nothing as if there was no battery. BUT only thing that works are my hazard lights... even the unlock from key wont work and key battery ain't dead either.

Am I missing something like is it a new age security thing or is there a method in replacing battery? or what should I check?

its annoying because its hard to move the car around!

thanks in advance

Hi,

I don't think that you are missing anything. If you are getting power to the hazard lights, then you should be getting power to start the car. I wonder if something electrical was messed up during the accident?
