Missing splash shield

Missing splash shield
Looks like this was an issue with 1st gen. Is it missing on 2nd gens too? Looks like there's mounting holes for it. I haven't had an oil change yet so it must have come from the factory like this. <3000 miles.

Thanks. I would post up a pic, but don't feel like finding a place to host a picture since I can't attach on FF.
Anyway, yeah it's the panel directly under the oil pan. I guess that's where they cut some costs.
