Is there supposed to be a splash shield?

Hey all,

I recently bought my 09 Honda Fit used, and today i noticed that the underside of the engine is exposed to the road. When I open the hood I can look down past the oil filter and see the pavement. Is the car supposed to come with a splash shield there? If so, does anybody have a link or part number for it? I cannot seem to find it on Majestic Honda's site.

I found this on the site, Front Fender , and you can see the gap where the engine sits (part #5), but I don't see anything that goes there. When I look under the car I see holes there as if there is space for clips.

Can anyone help me out?

That's all thats there. There's nothing that is supposed to fill that gap. Your car isn't missing anything.

Ok, thanks. Just wanted to make sure! Sounds like an easy mod for somebody to make something to cover that hole up to smooth out the airflow under the car.
