Question Any known bugs or issues for 2009 Base AT?

Except that valve spring module recall (did that). I've heard something about a/c issues - what is it exactly? Any other known issues to look for?
Thanks.

P.S. So far my parents had no problems at all, except changed rear shock and spring (dealer said it was broken ) and did rotor and pads replacement (also dealer insisted - looks a little fishy to do rotors at 50K, but it's done already). I guess that's not common and is mostly my experience.

I have an '09 (Sport) with no issues. The only thing you didn't mention that I BELIEVE was a recall issue was sealing the driver side window control because water could get in and possibly cause a fire.

Please research this as I am not 100% sure.

I believe that recall was for GDs and not our GEs. I have not had a recall on my 09 for that.. Only bugs I have had are on the front bumper in the summer.

I had the valve spring recall done only on my '09 sport. I have not had any issues whatsoever. I have about 108k on mine and haven't even needed to replace the brake pads, so pads and rotors are somewhat suspicious.

the fog lights are vulnerable to get damaged from rock hits.

You should get protection film to help protect them. Headlightarmor makes something just for fogs.

There are also reports the condenser also being vulnerable to rocks and to DIY plastic mesh or something stronger to protect that.

I've had A/C issues with mine, as well as electrical issues.

The fuse for the power outlet in the center stack keeps blowing (I go through about one every 6 months, I've changed phones, chargers, etc. It didn't make a difference)

My A/C fan control module grenaded at 70k miles, and thankfully was covered under an extended warranty. Otherwise that would have been a very expensive repair.

Forgot to mention.. My passenger rear shock has developed a puncture twice. Normally I'd chalk that up to the lovely roads in my area, but I've never had an issue with any other vehicles.
