Service code changed?

Service code changed?
Just wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this...
A few days ago I hit 15% so my service light came on. It said A124. Makes sense--the miles are getting up there.
But then, last night, the service code started reading A12. No idea why the 4 dropped. Not complaining too much since that one isn't cheap, but also want to make sure there's not a larger underlying issue.
Thoughts?
