Little Air Flow from Center Vents

2010 Base

Air flow is great from side vents. Weak flow from the center vents. Even when I switch to "air blowing at the face" only, it still comes out on the feet.

I took out the glove compartment door and the linkage is moving when I move the dial, but the air flow stays the same between "face only" and "face and feet." I also changed the cabin air filter while I was in there but no dice.

I did a search of similar problems but couldn't find this one specifically. Anyone else ever had this problem?

Thanks in advance, you gents(and a few ladies I reckon) have been a big help for small fixes. Thankfully I've only had two or three in 70K miles.

If the linkage is moving properly, it would logically seem that the problem lies in the mechanisms at the other end that it's moving or in its connection to them. It shouldn't be too terribly difficult to figure out what isn't working once you have access to the relevant bits. I'd think that taking enough of the dash apart to get access would be the hard part (mostly hard in terms of it being a rather lengthy process in some tight quarters, not hard in terms of incomprehensible or requiring special tools or anything like that).
