Maintenance Minder

Hello, I have a 2011 Fit with around 43,000 miles on it. I take it for oil changes, and I've had the air filters and AT fluid changed once. Nothing has ever popped up on the MM.. I'm not worried about it, but I'm wondering if it's normal to not have any reminders by this time. ??????

How frequently have you had the oil changed? The maintenance minder was probably reset when the oil was changed. The other checks will never show up unless the maintenance minder is allowed to determine when all maintenance is due.

Does your maintenance minder tell what percentage of useful oil life remains? If it does the minder is probably ok.

Thanks, Clifton! I've had the oil changed regularly, at 10-20%. It's still telling me the percentage. Next time I go in I'll ask them about the MM and whether that's cleared completely with each oil change. It would be silly if that were the case, but you never know. Seems like it would continue working so all the maintenance could get done!

At 15% you should get a maintenance due reminder telling you which service is. It will be service A or B. There will be numbered sub maintenance items. The numbered items are described in the owners hand book or in the service manual.

The sub items tell you when to change coolant or check valve clearances , for example. I recently sold may car and don't have access to a manual so I cannot give
you specific examples. Hope this information helps.

the mm is manually reset by the tech. u can reset it yourself by pushing the button for like 10 sec, the % will start to blink. then hit it again for another 10 sec. then it will go to oil 100% .

That's my problem right now... Since getting a mustang I barely drive the fit (other than in the crappy weather). So I now get like 9-12k miles a year. Which My maintenance minder never drops below 40. I now follow the manuals 1 year or MM for oil changes. But because of the low yearly mileage I never get to see the codes from MM. I got an oil change last week and ask them NOT to change the MM. Dealer did it anyways. So it goes back to 100%. I wish there was a way we could look to see what the codes would have been.

Yes. Follow the steps to reset the MM. When the display blinks, it should tell you the service codes. Basically, follow until step 3.

Wait so as long as I don't continue to step 4, I can see the codes it would have displayed??

I am going to try that after work, thanks!

Be aware, the brake and clutch fluid need to be flushed/refilled every 3 years regardless of mileage.
