My hatch door is stuck, can someone please help me open it?

My hatch door is stuck, can someone please help me open it?

Idk whats wrong with it.. i have to use it really bad today to take some stuff to a junk yard, and when tried to open the hatch its like the handle is already stuck on the "open" position and Idk what to do make it unstuck.

it's corroded. just take a peek up the handle area. happened to my 09 GE when i had it too the last yr of ownership. i sprayed some WD40 in there to clean, followed by some white lithium grease spray.

You'll need a strong flashlight and protective glasses ( goggles ) . Spray a white lithium grease ( stated above ) that thickens in time . Will want to use soft paper towels or rags to clean off excess that runs out . It will be necessary to lube every month or 2 . It depletes from rain , etc..

There is a plastic cover in side where you can access the mechanism.

A shot of WD on the pivots (outside) did the trick instantly.
