Hey everyone! I'm new here. Also I'm not a mechanical expert on these kinds of things but I'm learning. Anyways I recently bought me a 2013 Honda Fit Sport and I looked at it today and found what looks to be an open hose but with nowhere to connect to. So I'm making this thread to see if anyone with a 2nd gen Fit, has this same hose. It looks like its coming from the transmission, right next to the battery and under the air filter I believe. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks!

 

I noticed that on my Fit too and assumed that it's a simple transmission breather hose. As the transmission (and fluid) heat up in operation, this provides an avenue for the pressure to be relieved. I'm no expert and could be wrong.

 

Alco, I think you are right. #26 (trans breather tube) and #12 (tube clamp) on the image below looks like it matches the first picture.

 

Cool. I've been trying to find out what this hose is. I noticed it yesterday on my recently purchased 2010 Honda Fit and that it had leaked some sort of fluid onto the component beneath it as shown in the OP's pics in this thread. My next question is, is it okay and normal for it to leak whatever fluid it is onto the other component underneath it?
