2013 Fit Air Bag Indicator Light Reset

Need to reset the air bag indicator light. There is something on the net, but not sure if it applies to a 2013. Its the paperclip in the harness method.
Thanks
Ed

Do you know why the light is on?

Newer cars need a scan tool to erase fault codes.
If you have deployment codes, they cannot be erased.

That code is for 'no signal' from the sensor, for whatever reason.

Possible sensor internal issue, wiring, etc.
Did it suffer damage in an impact?
Has the issue that caused the code been fixed?

The dealer diagnosis said:
Confirmed that there is a SRS trouble code. Trouble code 41-11 no signal from the left front impact sensor present. The first step of the troubleshooting is clear the DTC and see if the DTC comes back. Drove the vehicle for a few kilometers. The SRS light did not come back. The troubleshooting indicates that ID the SRS light did not come back, than an issue is intermittent at this time. If the SRS light comes back at a later date, the troubleshooting procedure is more complex.

Looks like a false trigger of the impact sensor to me. If it happens again I would like to be able to clear it myself without having to take it to the dealer. They would not replace it under warranty as it is working now.

Thanks
Ed

If it happens again
If the code returns and there are no wiring issues found, I'd be replacing the sensor in question.
I would like to be able to clear it myself without having to take it to the dealer.
To do this yourself, you're going to be investing in a capable scanner.

Otherwise, you might see about locating an independent shop that has the equipment needed to do SRS work on Hondas this new.
You could call some good reputable bodyshops, see if any would recommend a tech or a shop they send Hondas to for airbag work.
