My girlfriend took her fit into the dealership because her check engine light was on. Code P0135 came up for the A/F Sensor Heater Circuit. They quoted her about $550 to replace it. Now I am stuck with an upset girlfriend because she recently bought this car. I have searched the forums and this seems like a common issue with these vehicles. She has a 07 with 80,000kms.
Has anyone had luck in cleaning these sensors? Or should I go buy one for $200 and pop it in myself?
I have never worked on a little import, but I imagine replacing an 02 sensor doesn't cost $200-$300 in labor.
Also, she is away so I haven't had a look as to where it is. Does anyone have an approximate location or better yet a picture?
