2011 Fit Steering wheel Airbag compatible with 2011 Civic?
2011 Fit Steering wheel Airbag compatible with 2011 Civic?
Please help! I might have a chance to save some SERIOUS $$$ on fixing my car! (someone is selling a Civic airbag locally for $300)
This is a link to a Honda Fit airbag:

and this is a link to a Honda Civic airbag:

I know they are different part numbers, but they are both made by Takata no? They look the same as well. Can anyone please tell me if they are interchangeable?

Nobody would know,, the OEM's do not release ANY info on air bag specs. Too Much liability. The airbags are not just physically designed to fit the wheel they also can use different speed inflators depending on many variables.. YOu might find that the deployed Civic bag is wider narrower etc.. I'd go without before I used the wrong part number.. Heck with Takata I'm tempted to go without anyway!

I think I'm having a nearly identical issue with intermittent noise. Happens at 2200-3500rpm when accelerating, lasts about 3 seconds. But I think that it's coming from the blower because I can't make it happen with the blower off, and if I quickly switch it off when the noise starts then its duration seems shorter. It's hard to tell because the duration is usually short anyway. Have you tried driving with the blower off and seeing if the noise still occurs?
