2012 with 22k really?
Omg please help me! I have a 2012 Honda Fit with less than 22 k on it. For about a month I have been driving with the c e l light on. I went to O'Reilly and had them check out why the check engine light was on and it was a p0171 lean code. So today I started driving and I was on the freeway put on the cruise control and accelerated to about 65 and it cut out on me. I gave it gas it cut out on me so I had to pull off the off ramp. It died right there I tried starting it again it would stay running for about 20 seconds and then shut off please help

Are you under the impression that the light means something other than CHECK THE ENGINE? It does not mean, drive the car for a month and see how it goes.
Take the car to a mechanic and get it fixed. If you're lucky, it hasn't really been running lean for the past month and burned a hole in a piston.
My best guess is that is had a loose spark plug, that has now backed all the way out and damaged your coil on it's way out of the head. Damage can range from needing a new plug and coil all the way up to needing a whole new motor. One guy here just bought a new motor because of this.

Yep.
The light a month ago was a warning.
Now you're past the warning stage and are at the breakdown stage.
You need a mechanic now.
Good Luck.
A shame, because a 2012 with less than 22,000 miles on it is remarkable.
But you may of just jumped it ahead on deterioration timeline quite a bit.
Get it checked out, and hope for the best.

My Fit is my ONLY vehicle. And I don't drive a whole lot but eclipse those mileage numbers.

My wife drove 300 miles at 70 mph with the low tire pressure light on and got home around midnight. The next day I saw the tire was flat and asked about it. She said that she saw "a" light, didn't know what it meant, and kept driving. Told her that those lights mean something like engine problems, low oil, low tire psi, low gasoline, etc. If you don't know, look in the book or call me.
The Bridgestone Driveguard tire was blistered beyond repair / use. $$$ new tire.
I don't get it.

Like in Boy Scouts, I cut 3 corners off her drivers license. You have to pass a knife / ax test to get your "Tote & Chip" card in Scouts. Any dangerous or misuse of the equipment like cutting towards yourself or carving your initials into a tree / cabin wall, you get corners cut off until all 4 are gone and the card is torn up. You can't "carry" after that until you go back to class / pass and get a new card. There is some wisdom in a system like that.
