Good day everyone,

I just recently bought a 09' fit w/ 130000 miles and the compressor clutch bearing went out. I got everything removed but the mounting flange looks like it took some damage when the bearings went out. Also when I removed it there was only one snap-ring on the outside of everything and looking at the diagrams on the web it looks there was also one between the coil and gear too.
1) is there supposed to be two snap-rings?
2) is it possible to replace just the mounting flange without having to replace the whole compressor?

The book shows two snap rings: one for the pulley and one for the field coil. There are no other instructions about replacing the mounting flange. Call a dealer's parts counter and ask them if you can buy it.
