I turn the key to start the car and got nothing. The dash lit up but got nothing but a "click". Thought maybe a dead battery and turned on headlights but when I did that it made a pop & a sort of fizzle sound and then it was totally dead, no dash lights or anything. Took out battery had it tested at parts store and it's good. Put battery back in I get dash lights. Try staring, nothing. Put it in neutral try staring and the dash lights start flashing. Try starting again and it goes completely dead again, disconnect battery reconnect dash lights back. Any idea what could possibly be wrong?

 

Decided to put the charger on and with a fully charged battery I get rapid clicking. So I'm guessing it's the starter.
