2nd Generation GE8 Specific DIY: Repair & Maintenance Sub-ForumThreads discussing repairs and maintenance you can do yourself on the 2nd generation Honda Fit (GE8)
I have a 2010 Fit Sport with manual trans. I suspect I may have a minor fuel injector leak and understand that one way to tell if it leaks is to do a fuel pressure test and see how long it takes for the pressure to drop when the engine is shut off. I have a fuel pressure gauge for EFI systems but can't find the test procedure or pressure specs anywhere. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Reason: update
Update: Since I posted this I bought a copy of the Honda service manual and found out the only way to check fuel pressure is to install a pressure gauge into the fuel line at a quick-connect fitting near the air filter. Normal pressure is 47-54 psi with the engine running at idle. The manual does not say anything about how long the system should hold this pressure when the engine is stopped. I hope someone finds this information useful.
I have received a PM from Elavanis requesting help finding the fitting used to check fuel pressure. I took a few pics and hope they will help.
Here is the engine of my 2010 Fit. The arrow points to the quick-connect fitting where fuel pressure is tested.
Here is a close-up
The piece with the square hole needs to be pulled off to reach the fitting.
Press down on the turquoise colored tab at the left and the fitting will separate.
Hope this helps someone.
