Honda has a new recall as of April 24,2013 for the Fit Sport.
-13-040 Non-compliance recall: VSA system software update-
Decided to post since I didnt see it here in this thread.
It is for the 2012-2013 Sports VSA system. A non-compliance VSA software update.
If you havent received a letter from Honda about the recall and are qurious if it is affected I can do VIN inquiries to see if your fit is affected. All it is, is a software update and VSA sensor neutral position learning. I've done a few and it takes usually about 30 minutes to complete but your dealership may need the car for longer to give flexability in their schedule. Anyways, just thought I would let you guys know!

Updates (these were added to the first post, but included here for all the subscribers):

Floor Carpet Wears Prematurely (12-060) (Thanks fit09)
Applies to all 2009-2012 Fits, 2013 Fits from VIN JHMGE8...DC000001 thru JHMGE8...DC009967
"Due to continuous use, the floor carpet rips, tears, develops holes, and shows signs of excessive wear."
Solution: Replace the carpet

MIL Comes On With DTCs P2646/P2651 or P2647/P2652 (13-021)
Applies to all 2007-2011 Fits
The MIL comes on with one of these DTCs:
P2646/P2651 (Rocker arm oil pressure switch circuit low voltage).
P2647/P2652 (Rocker arm oil pressure switch circuit high voltage).
NOTE: The symptom may be intermittent, and you may not be able to duplicate it after clearing the DTC.
"The rocker arm oil pressure switch may fail intermittently."
Solution: Replace the switch

Water leak: Cargo area wet or damp (13-025)
Applies to all 2009-2012 Fits, 2013 Fits from VIN JHMGE8...DC000000 thru JHMGE8...DC006889
SYMPTOMS: The rear cargo and/or spare tire well areas are wet or damp.
CAUSE: The AM/FM antenna base nut may loosen, which allows water under the seal.
FIX: Replace the AM/FM antenna base and apply Konishi Bond to the seal prior to installation.

Recall: VSA System Software Update (13-040)
Applies to 2012-2013 Fit
SYMPTOMS: During NHTSA validation testing, it was determined that the 2012-13 Fit did not fully comply with federal safety standard FMVSS 126.
FIX: Update the VSA modulator-control unit software, then do the VSA sensor neutral position memorization.

Any way to find out if this applies to Canadian ge8s? Our vins start with LUC but are essentially the same as the usdm fits.

Torque converter locks up to soon.

Hello everyone i have a 2013 Honda fit with 3000 miles on it and have a issue with the automatic transmission. The torque converter seems to be locking up early under low acceleration. I bought it used with 264 miles on it however it has a salvage title and the dealership will not warrant anything on it. It had been in a front end collision and scraped down the right side so all damage was cosmetic, so i think. The hood was replaced and the front clip and front right/passenger side quarter panel and air bags were replaced.
So my issue starts after it warms up. It shifts normally and smooth, but when it shifts into the next gear the torque converter locks up, causing the rpms to slowly decrease until it can make enough speed to shift to the next gear. None of this happens below 3 thousand rpm. As it warms up it becomes less noticeable. No issues above 35 mph. Thank you in advance for any help or suggestions.

This is normal behavior. The torque converter will lock in any gear under light acceleration, after the engine is warmed up. It results in a busy automatic transmission. By warmed up, this seems to be when the engine-cold light turns off; the engine and transmission really aren't at operating temperature yet.

Still, this locking/unlocking should be subtle, most don't realize it's happening. If it's rough, I'd recommend getting someone to drive it that's familiar with Fit behavior. There may be damage to the transmission. Here's a link to the shop manual diagnostics for an '09 (should be similar). It's 25 pages and not for the weak of heart.

Thanks for the quick reply, one of my friends has a 2010 and it does not really do it at all. mine also acts completely normal in sport mode. I have done a flush with dw-1 to see if maybe at some point someone put the wrong fluid in and it did not seem to help. Also test drove a new one and it did not react the same. I run an auto repair shop and am familiar with transmissions but have never had one act quite like this. I know it has a constantly lock TC. I have read on this forum that some people have had the ecu flashed. I called the dealer and they want 93 dollars just to sit in it. Im ok with that but am looking to get an idea of whats going on with it before i take it in. Thanks again for the help.

Question TSB blower fan

So, same problem as others have had, on my 2011 Fit. A/C fan speeds 1,2,3 don't work, speed 4 does. I am way past warranty and figured Honda was going to be of no help and charge me accordingly, so I took it somewhere else. They replaced the resistor, and it worked.... for a bit. Now it's not working. I did research and came across the TSB issue for this problem. It needs the blower motor as well. Seeing there's a TSB I want to go to Honda now and ask for a goodwill repair but paper evidence helps. And of course their TSBs are state secrets. Anyone able to help in some way? Is it enough to have the TSB number? which I believe, from alldatadiy.com is 09-097 issued Aug 2012.
