Question Want to change the cabin filter on the GE8, help

I just wanted to know if the procedure was the same for the GE as it is on the GD. The dealer wants $80.00 to replace it and although I'm not mechanically inclined due to having a short fuse, I can do some things and from the pics of the GD, I can do this. So, if someone has done it and has some tips for doing it to help things along, I'd appreciate it big time

I searched and was running low on time this morning, so please, send the "SEARCH POLICE" back to Dunkin Donuts

I haven't done mine, but I think you just have to drop the glove box and undo the tabs holding it in and voila. How many miles do you have on the fit?

Thanks and yeah, that's exactly what I did to get it out, very easy, even for me who's scared to do just about anything on cars (except detailing, I'm all about that)

I had to have Autozone order it for me today, $34.23 and it will be in Friday. I like shopping at Autozone because they pay you to shop there

I have almost 21k on the car right now and when I took it out I was shocked at how dirty it was, I smacked it against a semi frame and the stuff kept coming out of it, amazing!

OMG order the filter from Bernardi Auto Parts (excellent part look-up via VIN # - no errors!) or Amazon or something. $34 is way too much for the cabin filter, even the baking soda "treated" kind. Find Honda Parts and Honda Accessories by Car Model - Bernardi Honda Parts and Accessories

Another Honda place I use is Honda and Acura Accessories dot com - Genuine Factory Honda and Acura Accessories at discount prices. when I'm price shopping for stock replacement parts.

Damn, that cabin filter from the above site is like $20 w/o shipping. I know where to go next time unless I have a $20 dollar credit on my Autozone account, then the filter will be $13.00

Oh well, my new one is STP....Stone Temple Pilots, right

Lightbulb

I'm going to order 2 cabin filters from that place that's listed here because one isn't really worth the shipping and I can't see 2 costing that much more for shipping.

Looking forward to installing this today and breathing clean, fresh air

Just FYI you dont have to remove the glove box to get to the filter. The glove box has to stops in the back of it to prevent it from swinging out too much. All you need to do is reach back and squeeze both points (left and right side IIRC) and you'll be able to swing the glove box all the way out.
