axle out of tranny (auto)

Hello folks, thought id ask the forum for tips and tricks. I recently took off the front suspension for replacement. Unfortunately when i unbolted the shock from the hub, i did not use a jack to hold up the hub. This being, i have over extended the axle and it seems to have popped out of the transmission. Ive tried jacking the hub up to straighten the axle and tried pushing it back in but have had not luck. Twist and turn but not going in.

Any experiences, know hows, or suggestions on how to get the axle back in? Im sure it would be much easier with the boot off but trying to do this with the boot on.

Thanks!

Have a rest and something to eat then try again. Eventually you will get it. Failing that you have to cut the boot off.

Good luck

Yes, calm down a bit and take a bit of a rest. Come back to it.

When it happened to me, I wanted to kick my car haha. Eventually I just lined everything up as best as I could and twisted and pushed repeatedly until I felt it go in.
