A couple years ago a car in front of me kicked up an exploded tire on the road. It managed to hit the front end of my Fit and imbedded itself in the front grill. I immediately pulled over but of course the other vehicle continued on. At that point it wasn't worth the $500 deductible to have it replaced so I ended up doing a quick fix and bolting the plate directly to the bumper. I've recently moved and picked up my new plates and would now like to properly mount the front plate. What alternatives do I have?

The original mounting holes are no good since the holder was ripped off by the tire. Is there an aftermarket alternative? If I use OEM parts, are there different holes I can mount to?

tl;dr: front plate mount was torn off during a hwy incident and I need to figure out a way to mount my new plates without using the old holes that are now useless.

 

Zeta Products makes an aftermarket license plate holder that should be universal. I don't know how it mounts or what it looks like but it is the only one I know of.

It looks like it could be mounted from the bottom or from the top. You woukd just need a horizonatal plane on which to mount it, i.e. somewhere on the lower grille.
