Confused about replacing headlights
Hi all. Just bought my 2010 Honda Fit Sport last week. Loving it so far. One of the bulbs was out as soon as I got home, so I ordered the Sylvania 9003 Ultra's on Amazon.
I watched a quick video on replacing them, then popped the hood to get started. Much to my surprise when I removed that seal from behind the bulb, my headlights are wired permanently in place. There is nothing to unplug and then plug in the new ones.
I can't find anything online to indicate they should be this way. What am I missing?
Thanks in advance,
Brian

I am confused also as we have owned both a 2009 and a 2011. Both had headlights that plugged in. It would not make sense to hard wire them. There is something strange here.
As stated before, pictures would help.

Yes, sorry. Pictures were coming and then life got in the way.
Strangely too, after pulling the light out to change it and then putting it back in, it's been working fine. Very odd. Nonetheless, need to know the situation here for whenever it does stop working.

Sure looks like some aftermarket HIDs have been installed.
That square plug to the left with all the wires going into it is the plug for a stock bulb. With all the wires pulled out a stock bulb would plug right in. You can do that once the current setup quits.

I don't like all those un-insulated ends on the added wires. If a 'hot' wire ever fell out, you'd be seeing sparks.
And since a loose wire caused the bulb not to light, it's worth fixing...
That black wire at the OEM plug looks ready to fall out, also.
I'd invest in some shrink tubing, coat all those spade terminals, put a cable tie around the wires near the OE plug, then put another cable tie around the OE socket and new tie, to hold everything in place.
