Premature clutch assembly wear/issues?

I've been having 3 or 4 clutch/clutch pedal/tranny symptoms for most of my ownership of my 7 yr old Sport now. Finally had it looked into and they said clutch parts had unusual amount of rust on them. Replaced clutch assembly…OMG, like new again. All symptoms gone. Drives so much better now.

Question is, anyone else had tranny/clutch issues, and if so how many miles on car when it happened. Thanks.

What exactly was rusted? What exactly was replaced? Just curious.

The entire clutch assembly. There are 3 pieces. I guess the clutch plate, flywheel and another piece.

I'm at ~119,400 miles on my '09 Sport MT. I haven't had any issues with the clutch yet. When you say you were having "symptoms" do you mean it felt like it was worn out or something else?

I've got almost 130k on my car and clutch. No issues so far.
