I've noticed, just recently, a tapping noise coming from the engine bay. It was getting progressively louder. I know our little Fit engines are loud, but this was definitely not an engine noise I've been accustomed to hearing.

I took it to my local dealer, they listened to it and recommended to start with a valve adjustment. I thought this was a little early for an adjustment, but I went with their recommendation. I was a little concerned it might be something more serious.

The service advisor calls me today and tells me it's ready. He says it sounds just like new. I ask him how much for the work and he tells me, "nothing"! He tells me they had a Honda representative in house and he decided to comp the valve adjustment. Now that is some great Honda service right there!

I'm relieved it wasn't something more serious. I'm pleased to have my Fit back and purring like a kitten again!
