Can We use Antenna Power Wire as Remote Turn On?
Can We use Antenna Power Wire as Remote Turn On?
Hi,
I got one question,
Did the Antenna Power Wire from Honda Stock Head Unit turn on only when you are listening to radio, or it also turn on when you are listening to CD/AUX?
The reason I ask this is because I want to use this Antenna Power Wire as Remote Turn On for My Powered Subwoofer.
and I want the Sub to be Turn On not just on radio but also on CD/Aux mode.
oh, and by the way, I have not check the wiring directly, but is the Antenna Power Wire on the factory wiring have BLACK cable color? can someone here pointed out which one is the Antenna Power Wire on the Factory connector?
Thanks

I found out about this answer myself,
Yes, we can use the Power Antenna remote as REMOTE ON for Power
Amplifier or Powered Sub-woofer.
But take note that the Power Antenna Cable is NOT at the main socket,
but at the other smaller socket together with the Antenna Signal Cable.

Are you using this remote wire for the Factory Antenna Booster,
or you add aftermarket antenna booster ?
If you are using this for factory antenna booster, then Tapping (just tapping and not cutting the power to factory antenna booster) this wire for Power Amp remote on should not be a problem,
because the remote on function of Power Amp/Powered Sub only draw negligible current so it should not be a problem... and not interfere with the factory antenna booster function, at least my current FM Reception is still the same as before
