What OBD2 Scanners Work On GE8 Fits?
I'm looking for current info on OBD2 affordable code scanners that work/ link to GE8 Fits. Most of the posts on this forum are from 2014 and earlier and refer in a lot of cases to scanners that are no longer available to buy.
I'd rather get info on scanners that don't require bluetooth linkups with phones or laptops- it just makes things easier.
I have a Can version OBD2 code reader made by Cen-tec that I bought from Harbor Freight Tools out here on the west coast in about 1999. I've used this code reader on several Hondas, Toyotas, a 2002 Chevy truck and most recently on my son's 2017 VW and I've never had a problem. I tried hooking it to the OBD2 diagnostic port on my 2013 Fit sport and it will not link. I re-tried linking it several times over a few days with no luck. I finally took it to a local diagnostics guy and he used his $5k machine on my car and it linked no problem.
My presumption from what I have read on the internet, is that all OBD2 scanners do not work on all 1996 and newer cars that have OBD2 systems on them. So what scan tool do you have that works on our cars, that was purchased recent enough it is still available, and costs less than $100.00?

I know you said "affordable" and NOT blue tooth .... but ... I recently picked up 1 of these:
https://www.bluedriver.com/
it scans advanced codes, like abs light, srs light, etc. I was lucky enough to catch it on an amazon lightning sale for 79.99, and imo worth the extra bucks over those cheap $30 ones. it not only gets the job done, but this should be my last purchase as far as odb2 scanners go
