Wrong. Your response is denial.

If you went around a corner too fast--as you have admitted--and encountered a road factor that you didn't expect (b/c you don't know the road well), then by definition you were driving carelessly. Stop denying it, and stop doing it. People don't need to suffer just because you want to get your rocks off on a public road.

And don't be aggressive when people try to point this out to you.
