I'm jealous of your Fit! That being said, how'd you like the 949 Racing wheels? They're a local company to me, like same town local, and I was thinking of getting some new 15x7s... the 17x7.5 are just too big for my taste.

I didn't have a problem with them. Used them for about half a season of autox before I sold them. I'd definitely consider another set if I went 15s.

first dyno day with takeda cai and t1r b pipe/greddy axle back

2nd dyno day with added t1r header/pcd and secondary cat delete and street tune with ktuner. first pull was done with no tune (112whp). then 3 pulls on the street tune. i actually went back to the shop a couple weeks later for another dyno day and pulled 116 again.

after cam and valvetrain install. was the tuners first time seeing/using ktuner software.

Awesome! Thanks for posting up the dyno numbers. I'm surprised more people are inquiring and jumping on this. This is pretty damn cool!

What's your review of the cams up to now? How did your car run on stock ECU and cams before the tuning?

I know I should be waiting for tuning but time is up. I'm gonna test some DeltaCam camshafts with the stock ECU so I ask. If the car runs with the cams and stock ECU, I'm gonna stick with it until a full tuning solution is available.

Again, this is cool stuff.

the car started up and seemed to run fine on the tune that i had on before the cam install. but basically went from install rack at the shop straight to the dyno.

honestly kind of disappointed with power gain. I remember an old thread where a guy hit 128 with I/H/E and just a chip that people believed did nothing. he was on a dynapack and i was on a dynojet. lots of variables but was hoping the cam would make a bigger difference. i'm going to try some different part combos though like switching to the weapon r header over the t1r (keep an eye out for a sale thread) and playing with the exhaust piping size. Dont get me wrong though the car does feel very good in VTEC and past 4k rpm. butt dyno says faster. but ive raced (informal straight line street race from a roll) a fully tuned i/h/e GD and a i/e GE and only pulled about a half car on each. lots of variables again especially weight. (personal weight lol) ive been told i need a little more compression to see the full benefits of the cam so thats kind of in the works but will be a very long time before i really do anything like that.

well. did a valve adjustment and changed out the spark plugs again.

basically redid the exhaust.
weapon r header:

comparison vs t1r header/test pipe:

2.25" piping (crush bent ) with vibrant ultra quiet resonator

also got the innovative mount set

passenger side mount ended up being made wrong.

they sent a new one out but it took 2 WEEKS. ugh! i feel for all the GD guys who had problems with their innovative mounts.

sold the jdp oem style cf hood and bought a vented one from a friend:

also switched up my wheel setup to 15s. Been using some Federal 595RSR tires with them. Still have to take them out to autox or something to really test them. There are a few downsides to running the 15s but the acceleration is GREAT. I've decided to make the switch to them for daily driving though so my SSRs are for sale if anyone is interested!

rocked these rotas for a few weeks:

but came across a set of 949 6ULs in 15x8:

Also got some smaller items. Replacement red H emblems for my peeling/discolored amazon ones. Osram CBI d2s HID bulbs. And the TWM big type R shift knob.

After the maintenance and redone exhaust I also started the retune process with VitViper! This has been the most exciting and the car feels the fastest its ever been. Hoping to get dyno tuned by him in a few months as someone local was setting up a dyno day for him to come down from Oregon. Unfortunately Sacramento Raceway (local drag strip) ended their wednesday nite drags for the year. They should be open in February and i'll definitely be out there.

Really hoping 2016 holds a lot more actual racing for me. I've spent most of my time working and dealing with the cam install and other parts installs that I really haven't had time or money for a track day or autox event. Barely got out to the drag strip but its the cheapest and most frequent from of racing available to me.

I know the feeling. I have installed my J's 50R muffler and removed it 3X now. It sounds great but is unbearable. Then I want to hear it again until it's unbearable again. Decisions!
