fastbrakes 12.2 inch wilwood brake kit for GE

fastbrakes is selling a 12.2 inch wilwood dynalite 4 piston caliper front brake kit for "2005-2009" honda fit. This means it should be compatible with the ge. I'm E-mailing fastbrakes to verify. Thinking about getting this kit as it weighs less than stock even though increased diamiter on rotors. Does anyone have any thoughts or experiences with this or similar wilwood kits?

i don't know personally but I've read that the willwood rotors will "flex" under heavy breaking. again i read it on the Internet, so take it with a grain of salt.

If they say that the same kit will fit a 2005 thru 2009, then you can install Integra Type-R brakes as shown here. I've installed these on my 2007 Fit and they are great!

The ITR brake swap is a great right up which gave me the idea for the wilwoods. But the dynalite calipers are supose to be 2.5 lbs each (ITR = 11.5lbs) and the rotor without the aluminum hat is 8.8 lbs each (ITR = 11.1lbs). It comes with the front ss brake lines is designed for stock MC and with increased rotor diamater it still shouldn"t create much loss in power thanks to two piece rotors design. Yes it will have more dust, maintenece, and you should saftey wire the rotor bolts but i think I will get them for my ge come tax return with 16" rpf1's and spacers if necesary. Had a good review installed on a base rsx.

Keep in mind that the ITR discs are 11.1" and the fastbrake ones are 12.2". The ITR just fit inside a 15" wheel. I know the GE has 16-inchers, but if snow tires are in the cards, then install the ITR brakes with the Spoon calipers for weight. They are only 5-lbs each.

I'm in that thread under the same name (jbyron). I had the 4-piston Wilwoods before upgrading to the 6-pistons and I love them both.

this is my pic in that thread

Can't go wrong with Wilwoods I love them
