Lowering spring questions

I'm looking to lower my fit soon and was wondering what springs give you a decent drop while keeping stock comfort?

How well do the struts/shocks hold up with lowering springs?
My tsx struts blew out pretty quick with a very mild drop and I don't want to make the same mistake.

The search function on the site is a pain in the ass... You're better off using google and then putting "Fitfreak" some where in the search bar. So like "Lowering springs shock wear fitfreak".. As for the question. I'm not sure. But since there aren't any aftermarket shocks available I'd say you're kinda screwed either way. I'm still debating if springs would be worth it or just wait and get coils.

While the search bar will help I have a question for you all that have already taken the plunge and installed coilovers:

how durable are they for a dd? I have to replace mine soon and the price of oem shocks from Bernardi could fetch some coilovers....

I was tempted to put on springs but my concern isnt looks, but ride and durability: I drive throughout NY and NJ and a low drop would be financial suicide for my car but with 70k on my 09 I feel the suspension getting softer with more float than I can accept.

Any input advice on how to proceed would be appreciated...

Just installing springs on stock shocks can be okay for daily driving. I too have a daily driver and family so Im looking at "comfort" lowering springs like tein s-tech or tanabe nf210.

It doesn't get any better then SWIFT SPRINGS if you're looking for comfort and a nice drop on stock shocks.

Definately consider the T1R S-coils, they have a very nice drop, and comfort is retained with that drop.

They are currently on special too!

PM me if you need a quote.

Thanks.

I just had Swifts installed today and Wow!!! just like everyone said they are fantastic

They give you the comfort of stock with much improved handling, braking and the body roll is gone.

I took a drive through the canyons just after getting my springs installed and These springs are as good as advertised.

I also had the Progress RSB installed with the springs and this combo working with new 205/50/16 Kuhmo 4X is perfect.

The drop actually seems lower then others I've seen on a GE
I have 2 fingers front and rear after lowering with no rubbing whatsoever.

I know the Swifts cost more then the others but they are worth every penny

I will try to post up some pictures tomorrow if I have time.
