oops...sorry about that. Not sure what message I didn't get back to. was is a pm? Anyway, it will fit the GD except that the brake line brackets at the bottom are for the GE and not the GD; so you will have to do some to tie the brake lines up (like zip tie) because they won't fit the GD clips.

Sweet.... so much Fit + Koni goodness

I always encourage front toe set to zero... but that is my preference. At the LEAST make sure it is within spec.

If the camber bolt is in the top hole, expect -1 to -1.5 depending on the alignment shop. IF they put it in the bottom hole they can get -1.8 or more

 

..... if it's a serious autocross car, run 1/8" toe out in front. It will turn better.

Just got back from a great turn around trip from Vegas. Total miles logged since the install is roughly 1000 miles. And from my personal experience compared to my previous setup with T1Rs springs, I would give Redshifts setup a 8.5 out of 10. Please note that my rating is also base on my current settings and condition of my tires (which is due for a new set). The car rode smooth throughout the Vegas roads but does has it slight rough bumps due to the lovely condition of L.A freeways. But still a major improvement to the T1Rs. The rebound on the Konis are very noticeable. Before I wouldn’t dare take the car out on a long trip w/o my stocks rims and tires. And to feel like I was on stock since the install, speaks volumes of RedShift's coilovers. Cant wait to feel the improvements once I tinker around with the konis a bit more with definitely a new set of tires.

 

Man, those are so good looking it's a shame to hide them in the car. They should be in a nice frame on the wall for everyone to admire how great looking they are.

 

What are your springrates? Ride height?

Fairly soft springs for how low he is... AND if it still is comfy on the GE... You may have a little less stroke on the GD, but stiffer springs will help. I'd go at least 6K/8K on a GD... softer chassis and all.. For you Sol to be super low in the rear, might have to go to 8K/10K like my race setup.... I wouldn't go higher than 12.5K in the rear as that's at the upper limit of what a Koni Yellow is valved for.

 

I ordered 500f 600r.

Those rates are way too low for his height. He is possibly bottoming out those shocks.

 

Actually, I was almost tucking rim on those rates and it lasted 40k miles.

I would be watching the bump stops that's FOR SURE... BUT, the shocks provided are essentially "short" shocks for a GE chassis... Kinda like how the Skunk2 ProC's were short for the GD. Like I said, I'd be testing those bump stops... but it may be OK

 

I got the rear shocks only last Friday. Saturday I went full soft setting much better for the roads around here. The car does not feel as jumpy as with the stock shocks and my Eibach Prokit springs. Actually notice the improved difference in ride quality. As for shorter shocks Chris did tell me to put the jack under the shock to get it in place, which I did. Also have gone over a few speed bumps (cutting through the back of Walmart) no problems.

Would be interesting if Koni starts producing the fronts for the Fit to see if there would be any additional improvement in handling and ride.

 

I JUST got my FedEx tracking confirmation that my rears are waiting for me when I get home Will have them on the car for several days of commute and a cruise to a Fit meet, then put them to work Sun at an AutoX
