Can you cofirm this snow tire will fit

Found a set for 2004 Honda Civic steel wheels with 185/70 14 Blizzaks mounted on them. My google searching says the wheels should fit and a tire calculator says the overall diameter should be very close to the stock 2010 Fit Sport tires.

I should be good with the set up for the winter right? Do you think my dry handling is going to be really crappy with these tall 14" tires?

THe price was right so I picked up this set of snow tires...hope to have some time this weekend to try them on and take a few pics. It'll probably look cheesy with the 14" steel wheels but should be good in the snow

yes since the brake setup is the same as the GD it should fit without any issues (the calipers really are the biggest issues when you run lower size than stock IMO) the only thing is that you'll have a very soft ride...

I have Blizzak's on my Fit Sport and I am so impressed! First of all my car made it up a super steep hill with snow and ice on it. My Fit is the best car on snowy hills that I have ever owned! The Blizzak's work as well as studded tires. My Fit did not swerve my Fit climbed the hill with ease. My old car would do horrible on sharp turns in the snow and the Fit was amazing!! I am so impressed with the Fit in the snow.

Ok, it's confirmed. They fit just fine, overall diameter is almost perfect, width is the same, the 14" wheels clear the back brakes with no problem at all...as for the the front brakes, they clear the calipers but are pretty close. So it looks like I am all ready for the snow,

Thumbs up

Nice snow set-up you've got there, now search for some "racing disc" wheel covers, its basically what the Bonneville Salt Flat racers used to cover their wheels, would look very cool on the Fit and not only add to the looks but keep those lugs from getting all crusty during the winter, check em' out, I almost did this to my car but couldnt find 16" steelies for my car.

My car's gas mileage went down a little with snow tires on. I have to say my Honda Fit never slid on the ice and snow when we had a snow storm. I was very surprised because the hill to get out of my neighborhood is very steep and it did as well as big 4x4's going up the hill. No one else made it out of the neighborhood. I never had to put on chains. My sons said my Fit did better than my neighbors Subaru in the snow.

The ride is good, not as sporty, but its snowy so it really doesn't need to be. The car is awesome in the snow, frequently passing people slipping and sliding in their cute sport utilities

Yes I was pleasantly surprised when the Fit passed the sport utility people on the steep, icy, hill. Honda should jump on this and advertise it as a 'snow' car.

With proper tires any car can be an awesome snow car. Those SUVs are probably running all-season thinking AWD will get them home.

I have the same type of setup now on my car (the tires/rims are from a 2001 Civic). I have to say when I am about to come to a stop, the tire get extremely noisy. Is that normal? I hope the 14" rims are not rubbing against the disc brake or something.

They look fine but in another post I was told the tire might be too tall.
