15x7 BBS iX Wheel "Fit"ment?

Hey All,

I know I still need to get around to making an introduction post but I ended up getting a '09 Fit Sport MT - Milano Red. Yay me! I love it.

Anyways, I wan't planning on getting any new wheels yet BUT I found some BMW Xi Basketweaves (4x100, 15x7, +41 offset according to this: E30 wheel specs) for a good deal with almost new rubber (still waiting on exact tire sizes).

Do you guys think if I lower it on Eibach springs I'll be ok? No rubbing or anything? Trying to do my research before I buy them...

Thanks!
- Julien

Also - if anyone has pics of some 15" bbs wheels on a fit - specifically an '09, it would be much appreciated!

I have 15x8 +25 with a 195/50/15 on my SSM 09. Had to do very light fender rolling. Used to have 15x7 +30something rota slips with the same tyre size on it with no fender work at all. And I'm pretty low. I tuck tyre on both set ups. So I would not be afraid to get those at all

Research for at least 5 minutes before randomly posting a fitment question, please. Also have all the info ready so you can be helped.tire size is pretty important for a fitment question to be answered.....

not trying to be rude. Try google then the site search bar then look at a low offset pic thread. All your answers are waiting out there.

Thanks for all of that info! Really helps. As soon as I get tire sizes from the sellers I'm going to check it out.

As for "joey_fits" - that's not a very good way to treat a new forum member... it was slightly rude. I spent over 3 years on CRXcommunity.com and I know how to do my research - over 5 times the amount of total posts you have on this forum. I've researched for over hours now, and just thought I'd ask a specific question - is that not a good idea to do on this forum? I guess every forum is different. I felt like my E30 link to a random HTML page seemed like good evidence of research.

Most of the pictures online are BBS RS, which are different from the Xi wheels, from what I've read, and because I'm not a wheel expert it's hard to tell the difference sometimes, so I was asking for specific pics and if anyone had any. It's cool if no one posted anything. Of course I've done a Google Images search, but thanks!

All good though!

ok i appologize if it was harsh.so i looked around a little and tried to see what i could dig up.the basket weaves come stock with a 225/60/15 not sure if thats what youll be getting but thats what im going off of. with a 15x7 inch rim with an offset of +41 on a fit lowered one and a quarter inches you shouldnt see any rubbing with smaller diameter tire ie. 195/60..205 blah blah with out any fender mods. it seems that youd be fine down to +35 or so without fender rolling or pulling.
if it helps at all compared to stock 16 sport rims, these will be an inch smaller a half an inch wider and weigh a little over 3 pounds more apiece.
please note i know not what you weigh or how many people ride with you, if you carry cargo, what sort of terrain you drive on etc... so i may be wrong. whell im ehausted from countless minutes of research. sorry to be less than welcoming....i wasnt aware you had so many more posts than me on another forum.

Dude you're all good! Thanks for the welcome. There have been many times on the CRXC where I've told people to do a little bit of research first. I don't like to make a forum a place for drama (kind of the anthem of the CRXC, and hopefully here). Thank you for all of your hard work and research!

Anyways, I also posted because I'm not a wheel expert - at all.

I did finally get the tire sizes: 195/50/15 Looks like I might be good if I go for them!

Now I'll just have to get the money together and meet him, and I think I'll be good! Thanks for all the help.
