Question about fitting new wheels.

Feel free to call me ignorant but I'm looking at getting new wheels for my Fit. I know pretty much near nothing about fitment aside from what 15x7 and 4x100 means. That being said I have taken a particular liking to the Voxx MG3 wheels.

Here

My current wheels are just the stock wheels/caps on the base Fit. Will the stock tires fit these rims and will these rims fit my Fit? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

PS. eBay says these are incompatible but Discount Tire says that they are in fact compatible. This is why I'm puzzled and unsure if maybe I'm just not seeing a certain important measurement or if eBay's fitting tool just fails at existing.

The "incompatibility" seems to come from the 38mm offset.

Using a wheel and tire combo that comes out to the same diameter as stock, you would most likely rub on anything below 45.

Discount Tire might say it's compatible but with a caveat (that being, it doesn't take offset into account). TireRack does it for sure. Anything below 45 and it inserts a warning somewhere on the page for compatibility with the Fit.

While I do completely judge your assessment. I'm noticing that on Tirerack when I am searching by vehicle (2012 Honda Fit Base) it is showing wheels with wheels ranging from 38mm offset to 43mm offset. Nothing above 45mm??

The reason is that high offset wheels just aren't that popular.

If you go below a 45 offset, it will cause your engine to implode.
