I hear ya and those 6UL are a steal at that price for what you get.We have to drive so darn far to get to a track in L.A.
It would get expensive wearing out tires with 100-140 tread rating just driving to the track lol

6UL aren't necessary a steal IMO.

K1's are significantly less and better looking IMO.

6UL's had a ton of cracking issues in the past, not sure if they've rectified it.

If I do decide on another Honda (rather than an S14 Zenki which I'm leaning toward at the moment), it'll be an EM1 or 99-01 Integra GS-R. I need dat luxury.

Kosei's are solid. Also easy to pick up used. They just don't come in the width I need (7.5)

The 6UL cracking that always comes up was the EARLY gen 1's.

They are on Gen III now and use a different manufacturing process. Even back then when it was happening (I think like 5+ years ago now) they had a customer service team focused on getting people repaired and back on the road ASAP.

I'm a fan of pop up light more (s13 koki if I ever give in to the drift kid friends of mine. Know any one who wants one with a clean RB swap ? )

+1 for a GS-R. EM1 is nice, there was a very clean Electron Blue Pearl one that ran with me a few times at AutoX. Clean examples are tough to come buy these days though, least around here.

I prefer the pop-ups too, however if I'm going to be dailying the car, I need my creature comforts haha

And I know they had issues with the Gen 2 as well, a few guys on NWP4Life were having issues with theirs.

Quick check and you were right, people tracking the Gen II had issues...

Gen III was new for 2012... Have not heard any horror stories yet. They recommend numerous re torques after AutoX or Track laps on a new set, most likely due to the 60* conical lug seats.

I may just pickup a beat old 260Z as my "fun" project car...or a FC... There is a black GTU near my house that has sat for 5+ years. I'm too ADD to stick to one car project at a time T-T

Haha you have some great tracks in Sonoma and Laguna they are Historic
I use to go to IMSA races up there back in the day.

Real estate is such a premium here in Socal that when big developers come in with money they will buy up land and close a track down.

It happened to my favorite Riverside raceway years ago.I'm aware of the issues with the 6UL in previous versions but I'm not worried about the current wheel.

This is just a wheel that I like and will run on my Fit.I may never even stress this wheel with track duty.I have a A/T so I'm not doing to much anyway

I checked out the link and found all the info. Thanks for the pic because most of the new Fit owners GE at least run 16,17 and even 18's

I'm oldschool or mabey just old lol and remember when 15's were considered a +2 upgrade from 13's
