Kosei vs TRMotorsports wheels
Kosei K4R's: 12.8lbs, 16x6.5 with a 45 offset.
TRM C1's: 15.2lbs, 6x7 with a 42 offset.
Will be time to replace my 2012 stock set soon. Looking to get 205/50/16s for a wet hot FL summer.
Any thoughts?

FYI TR has the TRM c1 in a 16x6.5 that is cheaper and a pound lighter than the 16x7 version, but they do not show under the Fit you have to look them up under an ~2000 Integra (not type R). I know because I have them and I am running 205s on them too.
What are you trying to so with these wheels and why? That will decide if it's worth it or not.
Jabbs, thanks for the great tip! Wonder why they don't list em for the Fit...
Wanderer, Just want better traction in rain, better cornering, and ideally not much increased weight for acceleration..
Read a bunch of threads, seems like the 6.5 is ok with 205s..
have the Base version btw.
*stock height car, now lowered. I thought maybe the 7" rim would allow the 205s full potential, but at the same time- it's not like i'm racing, would I even notice?

I run 205/55/15 on 6.5 on my GE. You have to bump the pressure up a little bit higher than "manufacturer recommended" but I have no problems with sidewall roll running 36-38 psi. 7" would be "better" but you probably won't notice at all.
I'd get the lighter wheels over the extra 1/2" of width. It will improve your suspension reactions as well as increase acceleration. You need to be more aware of tire weight than wheel weight though. You can have the lightest wheels but if you get heavy tires it's all for naught. That will effect you more than wheel weight.
For light duty spirited driving 6.5" vs 7" is a mute issue really for 205s. If you were doing 215 or 225 that would be different.

Wanderer,
After researching for hours- I'm starting to think I should just get 195/60/15s...
Save money by using wheels I already have.
Have local Sam's do it, and rotate as needed.
Raise the care a hair, which is ok- as sometimes we go on a dirt road, and when leaving my driveway- the bike hitch scrapes.
Thanks for your replies int his thread and others- and for the pics of 195s on 5.5 you posted. Looked good!
I think in one thread you recommended the 185 vs the 195- couldn't find why though?

Yeah, i've had all those sizes... 195/60/15 was the best compromise for me between handing/high speed stability and fuel economy. I had 185s in the exact same tire and it still felt a little squirrely on the interstate in high crosswind situations. The 195 felt more planted and I didn't have to correct the wheel as much. My fuel economy suffered with 205/55 and UHP tires even though I took 5 lbs off each wheel going aftermarket. However, the handling and stability improvement is worth it to me.
205/55/15 feels like a much larger car on the interstate, but that probably has to do more with better tires and wider stance with aftermarket wheels than it has to do with tire width alone.
Keep in mind you will not find any performance tires in 195/60/15. You will find some "performancy" tires but nothing to write home about. 195/55 is good but you're effective final drive will be lower and the car will get a little more buzzy than it already is on the freeway, if you don't mind that there's some decent tires in that size. It is the stock tire size for Integra GSR and several other fun cars, so that's probably why. 205/55 is just about spot on the stock diameter, a tiny bit smaller, but not enough to make a huge difference. There's a few fun tires in that size as well, S.Drives and BFG Sport Comp2. I think BFG Rivals too if you're serious.

Wand and all,
Decided to go with 195/60/15's... just to try em out cheap and have em installed at Sams (free flat repair/rotation etc.) They were on sale- I think 280ish$
As you said, they weren't sporty tires- but I did choose the sportier of the options.
Saved a chuck of cash, will be an upgrade from the 175s, and still leave me room to upgrade next time!
After reading more threads- I've kinda left the idea of the 16" wheel.. thinking a wider lighter 15" would make more sense all around. I think you are onto something with the 205/55/15... sounds like the perfect mix of comfort and agility. And with a lightweight rim... mmmm
ill be back
