TPMS question
So i was reading a few older threads about the Tire pressure monitoring system and have a question.. Can you not turn off the traction control if the TPMS light is on in all models or was this limited to the fit sport with nav?
I am buying new wheels/tires for my 12 Fit sport w/o nav and I would rather not buy new sensors since I will be swapping wheels for the winter/other seasons. I don't feel like paying the dealer $70 every few months, because of some BS system the government thinks I should have.

Gah, I hate visiting this site or any site on the iPad... or maybe I just hate the iPad.
In any case...
Nope, all trims prevent you from turning off VSA if the TPMS light is on. It's not trim specific, simply a factor of VSA itself.
While the fact that not buying a sensor automatically precludes you from going to the dealer to program in the IDs and not going to a dealer (or anyone?) to program the IDs renders buying a sensor pointless...
If you're willing to buy the TPMS sensor and one other device (ATEQ Quickset), you can save $$ overall, at least, compared to going to the dealer every time you want to swap sensor IDs. What's that saying... "it pays for itself" after about 2 swaps.
Of course, you can choose not to spend any money and just deal with it as it is.

Well, if the trim doesn't have it... then there's nothing to turn off... right?
PS.... 09/10 Sport trims don't have VSA either... for those two years, it's specifically with navigation. So you'd have to count the "Sport w/navigation" as a separate trim to make it "trim related"... but then again, it's still due to VSA. If there's no VSA... *see above*

I wasn't sure about that, thanks for clarifying.
