Air intake till turbo setup

Current setup till I turbo

bunch of cheap autozone connectors and piping, the original airbox piece that holds the the airflow sensor Meshed to a carbon fiber tube ( the radius and curve from a bottle from the gas station forgot which one ) wrapped in heat tape to help protect it from the heat, and a cheap spectre air filter ( unless someone can testify with evidence they are good filters )
Heat shield mounted to engine block is a sheet of aluminum, the other side of it has more heat tape to help keep the header heat away from intake...

I like it and think it sounds good, with 117F degrees outside and WOT on the Highway no check engine lights but I’d love to get it tuned, and find a local tuner for when I turbo, trying to make the best sleeper/beater fit around

Hot air intake.

All those filters let a bunch of junk into the engine.

Nah, I'm at work. Been around long enough to know those performance filters do not filter well. Also been around long enough to know that engine bays are hot. You do you, man.

as for engine bays being hot air zones, why do you think I kept the air scoop in the grill and drilled more holes to let more fresh cold air in, if my transmission is running hot enough to heat up the intake air we have much bigger problems lmao

but what do I know I’m just a mechanical engineering drop out who got a trade school degree in fabrication

*edit*
turbo build project started, in planning/ research and prep stage + parts collecting...
