I'm just confused over what each play mode button does individual and together when playing music from an USB source on my Fit LX from the 1.0A USB port. No GK owners' manual nor Honda site explains these buttons and combinations. Simply put my music - even with shuffle enabled - seems to play only a few groups or songs.

Does anyone have an explanation of the buttons - when they are enabled (white or black background) and what they do together?

 

I no longer use the head unit on my '16 LX (went Sony aftermarket), but I think I remember what these buttons mean.

The first two buttons on the left are to play by song/track (musical note) or by album (file folder).

Middle two buttons: One track on infinite repeat, or one album on infinite repeat.

Last two buttons: Shuffle all, or shuffle an album.

 

When are they enabled - when they are on the white background (white background white ring as shown) or when the white ring only (on a black background)? I've copied the Honda site's additional guides that wer ecreated - they tell me nothing and my SanDisk player goes haywire on most settings playing what it wants. (Honda - your Owners Manual sucks for details...like the TPMS system)

 

I did swap my SanDisk mini player for a straight up USB fob (128 GB) and the player is cooperating better but still plays songs within the same folder when certain play mode buttons are enabled (shuffle on, song on ONLY).
